Bill’s Pirate Party – Memorial Day 2015

5/25/15

Blues Brothers Soul Band Fort Lauderdale Memorial Day 2015

Pirate Republic Bar Seafood & Grill was the Pirates’ stop for Bill Giberson’s annual pirate party, and arrr arrr, was a great stop indeed! Yes, pirates, buccaneers, scallywags, wenches, doubloons, and booties abound – shiver me timbers! Ahhh booties, pirates consider a booty anything of value they can plunder. Thar’ was good time plundering, yo-ho-ho laughter among fellow hearties, and pirate beverages splashed freely, all in good taste of course. As that is the only way the Pirate’s Republic Bar serves things up!

Whether Memorial Day, or any other day of the year, the Pirate Republic Bar is a fun place to be. The atmosphere of thar place, located captively where the Tarpon River meets Las Olas Boulevard, is a favorite to pirates and non-pirates alike. I will say though, an afternoon of swords, long and sharp; eye patches, left and right; and skull caps everywhere; you may walk away feeling like an ole matey. Yes a little loaded to the gunwales, understandably lily-livered, and a need to pledge the Jolly Roger as you heave-away, says it all!

Thank you Bill, for all your efforts bringing these occasions together, to only be out done by your spirit during them! We are all so appreciative! Thanks to fellow photographer Dr. Tom Latrielle too, capturing the enjoyment of the day. And a hardy arrr to the entire Blues Brothers Soul Band – leads, the Blues Brothers Jake and Elwood, AKA Paul Ferretti & Lynn LaFrance, Johnny Friendly.

Finally to all maties, till next year as Long John Silver exclaimed, By the Powers!
