Mother’s Day Sunday was a treat seeing the wonderful, bright colors light up the dawn skies. With a few hot burner blasts, the huge hot air balloons slowly rise upward. The relatively large Wellington crowd rose early, and they weren’t disappointed. There was something for everyone; children, adults, and even our canine friends seem to be enjoying the outing. The balloons were tethered and rides were $5 per person with funds going to the Wounded Warrior Project and Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund. Thank you goes out to all who made this possible. Until we see the pilots and crew next time, may all your flights be delightful, and your landings spectacularly safe!
